As others have mentioned, you have to mount these off center or you kick them with your feet when you pedal. I agree with the person who mentioned adding plastic zip ties to add more additional securing to the rack so it rattles less. I line mine with Trader Joe’s reusable bags so nothing is lost through the wire openings when your bike bounces. I purchased these rear racks to fit onto my Day 6 Dream Comfort bicycle. www dot day6bicycles dot com. The black baskets definitely look nicer.



The basket clips would not fit so I took the bike to the bike shop and let them work their wonders. They ended up using some Zip ties to secure it. On the positive side of this, it is harder to steal the baskets now as the zip ties are hard to reach and cut. And the zip ties hold it tight and prevent rattling.

Works well for light grocery trips. While each basket can hold a considerable amount of weight, navigating an already heavy tandem bicycle with fully loaded baskets can be challenging. Remember to allow for additional clearance when passing obstacles with the baskets opened. This is especially true for long bikes where the baskets are so far behind the pilot. I purchased this to attach to a new bike for my wife. She commutes daily via bike to teach school and she loves this basket. She can fill it with anything she needs to bring home or take to school. The panniers are larger than the non-folding Wald I put on her old 3-spd but secure nicely to the Blackburn rack on her new bike and they fold up deluxe when not needed. Excellent value and a great, useful product. Two thumbs up Wald!!
