This bike came in just 5 days. It was double boxed. It had a few small scratches on it and the wheels were out of round. The de-railer needed to be adjusted as well as the brakes. I took it to my bike mechanic and for $ 12.00 he had me up and running. All in all it’s a nice riding, good looking beach cruiser and well worth the money for an inexpensive ride.

Although this bike is cheap it simply isn’t worth the price. I spent $30 fixing it at a bike shop after it arrived due to bent tire, gears not working, other minor things. After 4 months the handlebars are rusting, the gears barely work ( i think it can change between 2 gears if you really crank it), it rides very slow and feels like its about to fall apart. My girlfriend bought a schwinn from amazon and was only $40 more and was an actual bike. Don’t buy this just because it looks sweet lik……

The bike came double boxed and I did not notice anything bent or broken. Haven’t put it together yet because it is a Christmas present. Based on previous reviews, assembly should be easy. Keep you posted. still waiting for the ladies version. Hope I receive it prior to Christmas.

I was looking for an inexpensive bike for exercise and find out if some biking would fit in my life. This one fills the bill. However it does have some flaws. It doesn’t feel very sturdily built and even my size 8 shoe touches the front fender on turns. Also my right heel brushes the chain guard. Despite some of the complaints I read in other reviews, I went for the bike anyway. It arrived with most of the bolts missing. After a trip to Home Depot and calls to 2 engineering friends, I brought it to the local bike shop. Apparently, the manufacturer pre-assembed it backwards and the entire bike had to be taken part and put back together. One day in the rain, and it has already rusted. I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this fender from amazon 2 years ago. It is still working. Mounting to my bike was very easy (using small hex driver) and it fits perfectly (The fender comes with two different size mounting; If one does not fit the other will). I just tested these on my Surly Long Haul trucker with 26×1.5″ tires. They fit perfectly and mount fairly easily. The mud flaps are great. Last weekend I rode 100 miles on the dirt and mud C&O canal trail. There were many 50-foot long 3″ deep puddles, and these kept me and the bike almost dry with only a little mud on my feet and the bottom bracket.



It was great to ride through a long muddy puddle and just watch the water stream out of the fender, instead of covering my wate……

These work well. They even fit my rather large hybrid tires.



My previous fenders had ‘clips’ that connected the fender to the metal frame/ bike attachment — this broke easily.

I commute to work in NYC, 12 miles RT. These well designed fenders are just what I needed for my 1986 Peugeot with 26″ wheels. I had to do a little bit of fiddling to get them to fit perfectly, but that’s always the case with full coverage fenders. These things really do what they’re supposed to do. I’ve had a few rain rides and these babies virtually eliminate road spray on your feet and legs. As with most bicycle parts, it took a little tinkering to get this fitted to my liking. It could use longer arms in the front for taller forks like mine.

Just got the 45mm black cascadias for my Giant Cypress hybrid with 700c, 38mm tires last night and installed them easily – they were just wide enough. I had to do some minor re-engineering with my rotory tool because I used a bolt at the chain stay bridge instead of a zip tie as suggested by the instructions. I am building up a medium duty commuter e-bike. Wanted to avoid that dirty stripe down my clothes or wet legs if I get caught by wet roads. Hey – the Dutch folks know how to use a bike… Racks, baskets, fenders, etc…



These fenders fit my the back of Trek 4300 mtn bike perfectly. All the necessary mounting holes and bolts already existed for the rear fender. Removed the back wheel and it was done in 10 mins. Bolts included in the kit ……

These fenders took a bit of engineering to fit properly, but once installed they look like they will work well. They cover a 700 x 42C tire with room to spare.

Apparently designers had forgotten that some (if not most) seat tubes have derailleur cables exactly in the place where the spoiler must be attached.



Of course there are numbers of workarounds: from building your own adapter to smooth contacting areas to state of the art duct tape and zip tie solutions.

My spoiler will be attached to the bottom side of the bike rack. Telescopic spoiler that extends from underneath the rack – what could be more handy on rainy days?

I have developed two very strong opinions. One is that all bike fenders are overpriced. We are talking at most $5-7 in materials and labor sold for $25-50. I mean it’s two strips of plastic and some hardware. Not knocking capitalism… just saying. The second is that if you order something on line that has to be assembled, downloaded, or otherwise installed or manipulated don’t whine that it doesn’t magically just happen. An hour or two of monkeying around with tools and going to the hardw……

The fenders were shipped promptly, they arrived three days after I placed the order, however there was a problem. The wrong fenders were sent due to Planet Bike mislabeling the fenders. I received 26 inch x 61mm fenders instead of the 700c x 45mm fenders. I emailed Niagara and they promptly sent the correct fenders with return shipping for the first set of fenders. Good company to do business with.

I’ve had other planet bike fenders in the past, but the rigid construction and hardware for the hardcore set is a huge improvement. I would definitely recommend these over the other types available from planet bike.

The fenders were not difficult to install, thought, I had to supply some different bolts and nuts. Not unexpected, all bikes are different in structure. A trip to the hardware store did it. I put the fenders on a Nashbar Cyclocross frame I use for daily commuting. No complaints here, though I can see where it might have to be done by a LBS if a person is not somewhat mechanicly inclined. I did have to replace the front derailleur because of clearance issues.(needed a better one anyway!) NO COMPL……

I have had these fenders on my ‘08 GT Transeo 4.0 for about a week now, and they have really helped in keeping the road grime off of my back. I wish my bike shop stocked the Cascadias, because I would have gotten those instead. The mudflaps that come on these don’t do much.
