As others have mentioned, you have to mount these off center or you kick them with your feet when you pedal. I agree with the person who mentioned adding plastic zip ties to add more additional securing to the rack so it rattles less. I line mine with Trader Joe’s reusable bags so nothing is lost through the wire openings when your bike bounces. I purchased these rear racks to fit onto my Day 6 Dream Comfort bicycle. www dot day6bicycles dot com. The black baskets definitely look nicer.

The basket clips would not fit so I took the bike to the bike shop and let them work their wonders. They ended up using some Zip ties to secure it. On the positive side of this, it is harder to steal the baskets now as the zip ties are hard to reach and cut. And the zip ties hold it tight and prevent rattling.

Works well for light grocery trips. While each basket can hold a considerable amount of weight, navigating an already heavy tandem bicycle with fully loaded baskets can be challenging. Remember to allow for additional clearance when passing obstacles with the baskets opened. This is especially true for long bikes where the baskets are so far behind the pilot. I purchased this to attach to a new bike for my wife. She commutes daily via bike to teach school and she loves this basket. She can fill it with anything she needs to bring home or take to school. The panniers are larger than the non-folding Wald I put on her old 3-spd but secure nicely to the Blackburn rack on her new bike and they fold up deluxe when not needed. Excellent value and a great, useful product. Two thumbs up Wald!!

This set of fenders did not fit my 17″ mountain bike.

The front fender bolts to fork crossmember, which won’t work because i have rock shocks (which has crossmember, but no through-hole)

The rear fender will bolt on,,, but is not long enough to protect mud from hitting the back of my head.

My bad … I thought i could save money by buying online… but i have learned that this type of accessory is something i need to get locally,,, so i can fit it to my bike.

Apparently designers had forgotten that some (if not most) seat tubes have derailleur cables exactly in the place where the spoiler must be attached.

Of course there are numbers of workarounds: from building your own adapter to smooth contacting areas to state of the art duct tape and zip tie solutions.

My spoiler will be attached to the bottom side of the bike rack. Telescopic spoiler that extends from underneath the rack – what could be more handy on rainy days?

this is a great fender that attaches low and sleek. it is great looking and i leave it on all the time. if it’s wet our or raining, just turn the knob and extend the fender out for full coverage. love it.

I have a Trek 7.5 FX hybrid bike. I purchased these fenders to eliminate water splash during my commute. First of all, the hardware provided does not match my bike’s frame. After improvising with my own nuts and bolts, I installed the fenders in about 10 minutes. They are absolutely junk. The fenders are flimsy and easily acheive an off-center position, allowing water to splash on my back. I’m not really interested in adjusting my fenders everytime I ride. If you want a good fender, purch……

I agree with the other poster. I have a Trek 7.5FX and these don’t fit the front or the rear. I can make it fit the front by purchasing a longer bolt at the hardware store. Making the rear fit will take some work – cutting plastic and adding black zip ties…. even then I’m not so sure – they certainly won’t be removable. They were only $6 so I guess I should have paid more for nicer fenders.

Description says “hybrid/road.” Item says, “hybrid/touring.” This is, in fact, a big difference. Of course, I do have a touring bike, so I tried. Doesn’t fit anyway. There is NO WAY this can fit on my bike, there are no holes where it could attach, and my brakes are in the way even if there were holes. This helps me a lot since I end up riding in the rain quite often – usually while commuting 3 miles to and from work. It is light, and doesn’t rattle – very sturdy, and also looks good on the bike. And it was super easy to install.

I don’t ride my bike in the rain on the road, but do ride my mountain bike in muddy trails or rocky/dusty tracks and the few times I took it out so far it has kept me from having a dirt line on my back !

This thing installs very easily. It is universal and does not make your bike look stupid. I have been nearly 100% more dry since I installed this. I really can’t think of a better accessory to add to your bike if you ever are forced to ride in the rail… so… get it!

Buy this one if you have a rear suspension bike. It articulates in the middle so you can change the angle. The nylon binding system allows you to mount it to larger tubes. Niagra Falls bikes are good people.
