Well made and relatively easy to assemble. The metal frame wasn’t the correct length, I had to shorten them to fit (not easy to cut)and even then the fender didn’t fit the tire shape and sits uneven over the tires on the front and back. my bike, a DAWES SST, (700 X 28c), has the size tires advertised to fit these fenders but alas they don’t. Also I had to attached the fenders to the frame using zip-lock plastic strips since the attachment hardware didn’t fit my frame.

I have a Specialized Globe with 700×42 tires. I picked these fenders because they say they will Fit this size tire. What a challenge to install. I’m pretty handy with instructionas and tools , but it took me 3 hrs. to install these. Instructions are minimal and vague. I had to cut support rods and cut the rear fender front clip to fit the rear fender. The front fender was the major problem. You need about 1 inch of clearance between the frame and the tire in order for the thing to Fit. If you do……

Very attractive and well designed fender. The installation is a little tricky, but fairly well detailed for most cases.

I wish they’d thrown in one or two extra nuts, because I didn’t tighten them down tight enough and one of them got lost. Now I have to figure out which nut I need to replace it or buy a whole set for $11 plus shipping.

Still, the fender is very nice looking and works great.

The fenders fit the 26″ bike frame much better than adapting the universal set I had before, they do keep us clean in the wet road conditions. I did remove the plastic safety insert that attached the fender struts and got a much nicer fit. TC

Good fenders. Provide good coverage on our tandem, especially for my wife. It was necessary to do some minor trimming of the rear fender to make it fit between the chain stays, but can be easily accomplished. Highly recommended for keeping your bike and back clean with very minimal weight. A must for serious tandem riders.

I have to say, the quality of the SKS fenders is much better than I expected for the price. Got all the hardware and required screws. The screws work great with my Fuji bike frame. Fits almost perfectly (I should have ordered 35mm because of little clearance above rear wheel on my road bike). I only wish the plastic end caps on the stays wouldn’t fall of that easily (I intend to **glue on** the remaining 3 I got).

I put these fenders on my hybrid commuter bike and have absolutely no problems what so ever. The installation was straight forward and a breeze. Just remember to keep the screws loose and tighten them as you adjust the fenders. What a relief to be able to go through puddles with out cringeing.

It came missing some screws, I had to go buy some to replace them. (it was $.99 for a dozen, I’m not complaining about price.) But the screws that DID come with it, some of them were too short to attach the fenders to the mounts on the fork of my bike and on the back.

The back fender was a little bit tricky to install on my bicycle, but it’s a really old bike so it’s probably just that.

This fender set is so bad as to be useless. The fenders are poorly designed, and the hardware kit was a random bunch of stuff. There are 7 points of attachment for these fenders, and they came with 6 bolts of assorted lengths, 3 flat washers and 2 lock washers, 4 nuts (2 with threads too small to match the bolts), and some odd bracket stuff. There was an allen key, but no wrench to hold the nut. I had some hardware, so I put the fenders on, but decided they were such crap I couldn’t use them. Do……

Purchased the Shockboard Fender for my wife’s Diamondback. The salesman at the bike shop noting it was good German design should have put me on notice. The body is single piece, so fender assembly and tire removal is hampered with having to wrestle the full fender through and around the brake assembly.

This product was over double the price of the comparable Topeak fender, which also installed in less than 5 minutes, than 15 for the SKS unit. If you travel with your bike and are cons……

I know I definitely needed a fender for my front wheel, and this one seems to prevent some of the water / mud / slush from getting to my front derailleur. But I don’t think it is as effective as I’d hoped. It was certainly very easy to install, and it looks nice on my Scott Sportster P55.

Greetings. I ordered these for my Trek mountain bike. Regarding the fenders… as the other reviewer said, they do not fit. Holding them up, I guess they would fit the curve of the wheel, but they are impossible to mount, both the front and the back. The ‘clip’ is only about as big around as a quarter, very tiny. This may fit a ‘road’ bike or a fixie, but was nowhere near even clipping on my bike. You wouldn’t even be able to force it, it would just break. Also, the front hardware just do……

Even before the product arrived I already suspected that the curves won’t match exactly my bike, after all it will be very difficult to find the specific fenders for my bike. But, with the use of my heat gun I easily modified it to fit. I recommend using a hair dryer if there is no heat gun available. The material is made of plastic. Bend it while heating it. Overall, with its price and I am very happy with it.

Very quick and easy to install. I just have an inexpensive Costco mountain bike (Motiv) with fat tires and was concerned about fenders fitting inside the frame, but the fit was fine. In ten minutes I was outside riding through all the puddles on our dirt road. The performance of the fenders fully met my expectations.

I purchased this fender set to install on a TREK 4300.

The installation of the front fender was very easy, took no alterations of the mounting hardware and took less than 5 minutes.

The back fender required bending of the mounting bracket. The rear bracket is bent to a 90 degree angle and meant to mount to a rear facing threaded hole. My bike has the threaded hole pointing down toward the tire, so it required the bracket to be bent so that it was straight. It also appeare……

This fender set is not for mountain bikes. Also it arrived without anything to attach to the bike frame, I think they missed something in the shipment. I had to return it. Too bad, they looked nice.

I bought this as a gift for my fiance. It only took 3-4 days to arrive and it was in great condition. My fiance informs me that this has kept him entirely dry without any mud or water splashing up his back when riding through puddle or in the rain.

This helps me a lot since I end up riding in the rain quite often – usually while commuting 3 miles to and from work. It is light, and doesn’t rattle – very sturdy, and also looks good on the bike. And it was super easy to install.

I don’t ride my bike in the rain on the road, but do ride my mountain bike in muddy trails or rocky/dusty tracks and the few times I took it out so far it has kept me from having a dirt line on my back !

that with the front fender combination, both of which snap on/off very easily so you can take them when needed, are a good combo.

For the price it’s a great item to have, and have limited choices on full suspension MT bike.

This thing installs very easily. It is universal and does not make your bike look stupid. I have been nearly 100% more dry since I installed this. I really can’t think of a better accessory to add to your bike if you ever are forced to ride in the rail… so… get it!

Buy this one if you have a rear suspension bike. It articulates in the middle so you can change the angle. The nylon binding system allows you to mount it to larger tubes. Niagra Falls bikes are good people.

I ride my bike about 3 miles daily around my campus. These mudguards keep my pants and backpack dry and clean and. I used zip-ties to attach the rear fender because my frame wasn’t the type the fender was designed for, but it still works fine.

Like I said in my title- these little fenders do the job I ask of them. I have them installed on my girlfriend’s Trek 7150 Hybrid bicycle. The rear fender is EXTREMELY close to rubbing though, and this is my only complaint. They were cheap, and keep the rain and mud off of us.

I guess you get what you pay for. At $15, these fenders are pretty good for its price since it does come with the hardware needed to install the fenders. They are wide enough to fit 26-28 inch wheels with road or hybrid tires but I’ll warn mountain bikers with wide tires, they might not work as well as with these kinds of tires. I give it 3 stars because the height of the front fenders cannot be adjusted like rear fenders. I will have to make adjustments to get the front ones to fit properly w……

The fender which came with the bike I bought was broken while I was trying to attach it to the bike. I had to buy another set for my bike. The quality of this set is good — much better than the one came with the bike.
